Air Supply Concert Review: Huntsville, AL August 14, 2024: Mark C. Smith Music Hall

The When It Was Cool family traveled to the Mark C. Smith Music Hall in Huntsville, AL to see soft rock legends Air Supply in concert on August 14, 2024. The classic rock duo has been together and performing for around fifty years and are best known for their stream of soft rock classic hit songs from the late 1970s through the 1980s.

The Mark C. Smith Music Hall is a great venue for music, we have been here several times before for various concerts and there is not a bad seat in the house and the acoustics are tremendous. The Air Supply duo of Russell Graham and Russell Hitchcock sounded very good live and though Hitchcock’s voice has dropped to a slightly lower register than at its soaring peak it was still fantastic and wonderful, and I would not hesitate to recommend them. The band was tight and flawless. Overall, seeing Air Supply in 2024 is well worth doing.

Air Supply is one of those bands that spend a few moments conversing with the crowd, telling stories, and adding to the overall experience by letting you into their lives for a moment. Graham Russell told a wonderful story about meeting Hitchcock and with all the drama other bands go through it was nice to hear that he and Hitchcock have worked together for fifty years without so much as an argument.

The Air Supply setlist contained every song you would expect from the icons of soft rock.

  • Sweet Dreams
