By: Tonya from When It Was Cool (@wiwcool)
On Saturday, May 26, 2018 Tonya from When It Was Cool took a trip to nearby Decatur, Alabama for the annual hot air balloon show. The show, properly called the Alabama Jubilee Hot Air Balloon Festival featured several beautiful hot air balloons including a few amazing retro pop culture characters such as Rocky the Flying Squirrel of Bullwinkle fame and Tweety Bird of Looney Tunes cartoons. Also, Elvis appeared both as a hot air balloon and as an Elvis impersonator singing tunes for the event.

The balloons looked particularly beautiful lighting up as the evening grew dark.
It's alright mama. It's just a wonderful Elvis Presley balloon with Rocky the Flying Squirrel looking on.
A nice photo by Tonya of several of the hot air balloons bunched together.
