01-16-1970: The annual Los Angeles Battle Royal is held, and Rocky Johnson wins the 22 man over the top rope battle royal last eliminating the Oregon Lumberjack. Rocky Johnson then challenges Americas champion Great Kojika to a title match at the Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles.
