Saucy Expressions Doll by Mattel (1972) Review
By: Karl & Tonya from When It Was Cool
Tonya from When It Was Cool has been collecting unique (ie: creepy) dolls for some time and often runs across some really cool retro dolls in the process. Recently, she acquired a pretty cool Saucy Expressions doll made by Mattel in 1972.
The doll is pretty interesting (ie: creepy) in that, by turning her left arm, her face changes expressions. It's actually a pretty sophisticated doll that must have a lot of complex parts inside her. The doll sold for just under $14 in 1972 which would be about $80 in 2016 money so this was a pretty upscale doll for the early 1970's.
We did a quick video reviewing the doll on our YouTube channel and I hope you will take a moment to enjoy it. The doll really is pretty cool and still works great.
