(No Bake)Chocolate oatmeal cookies
These delicious chocolate oatmeal cookies are a favorite in our home and they never last long, that's why when I make them I make plenty!
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup- butter
2 Cups- sugar
1/2 Cup- milk
4 Tbsp- cocoa
1/2 Cup- peanut butter
3 1/2 Cups- of quick cooking oats
2 tsp.- Vanilla flavoring
1 roll of wax paper
Directions:
1) Add the first four ingredient in a sauce pan and bring to a rolling boil.
2) Stir in the next three ingredients
3) Spoon them onto wax paper and let them cool until set.
Note: I always have my wax paper spread out across our bar before I even start cooking. Once I spoon them onto the wax paper I leave them there about an hour. Then I take some scissors and cut sections of the wax paper with the cookies still on there and stack them into the freezer for about 30 min. The key to this recipe is "patience" many people say their cookies do not harden and they end up eating them with a spoon. I suggest making these when you're in no rush to eat them and are just looking to have them to snack on later.
