Note: The Midnight Express (later Midnight Express, Inc.) operated under the "Freebird rules" where any two of the three members could wrestle in a tag team match. So results featuring the Midnight Express could be any combination of Ron Starr, Randy Rose, or Wayne Farris (Honky Tonk Man). Some time in late September, Norvell Austin was driving down the highway when a pedestrian stepped out in front of him and Austin struck him with the car seriously injuring him. Despite, apparently, Norvell not being at fault in the accident he was despondent and left the area. He was replaced in the Midnight Express by Wayne Farris (AKA: Honky Tonk Man).

Wayne Farris is now the third member of the Midnight Express, Inc. including Randy Rose & Ron Starr. This way they can wrestle all three of the Armstrongs.
